Carestream - Using digital imaging for time efficient planning for implant restorations.
About The Webinar
This presentation is given by a practicing oral and maxillofacial surgeon. It involves the concept and workflow to utilize intraoral scanning to aid in planning implant cases.
Patients present to the office with various needs. Often they do not have a "plan" in place by the restorative dentist. In order to generate a "plan" the restorative dentist uses a dental laboratory occasionally to plan the position of the final restoration. If the laboratory does a setup, it can be scanned by the lab or by myself using the CS 3600 intraoral scanner.
In order to create an efficient workflow, I scan the patient with the Carestream Dental CS 3600 and also obtain a cone beam scan. I marry the two, place virtual teeth and then develop appropriate steps to augment as needed or advance to a navigation method to accurately place the implants.
