These students, who are currently enrolled in a dental school program, submitted an abstract for AO’s 2018 Annual Meeting (to be held February 28 – March 3, 2018 in Los Angeles). They were selected for a travel grant after receiving the top scores of student-submitted oral research and e-poster abstracts for AO’s 2018 Annual Meeting, as reviewed by members of the AO Research Submissions and E-Poster committees.
“AO is the only program in the world that brings together specialists, general dentists, and laboratory technicians to promote all aspects of implant dentistry, and provides the greatest number of travel grants to students. Fostering research at this grassroots level is key to advancing the science of implants for the ultimate benefit of our patients,” said Dr. Robert Lemke, chairman of AO’s Research Submissions Committee and board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon from San Antonio, TX.
Each studentwill be awarded one, $1,000 grant. All recipients will receive their grants at the AO 2018 Annual Meeting to assist in paying expenses related to attending and presenting their research in Los Angeles.
Advance registration for AO’s 2018 Annual Meeting is available through February 5 – offering a savings of up to $150. For more information, go to: https://meetings.osseo.org/2018/.
