2016 OCO Biomedical Pre-Symposium Clinical Instructors – Brief Biographies

Mark A. Iacobelli, DDS, FAGD, FICD, MIIF – Dr. Mark A. Iacobelli graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1982. Since then he has completed post graduate programs in orthodontics, neuromuscular and TMD treatments for jaw and head pain, esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, and a one-year program for conscious sedation with Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has been in private practice since June of 1982 and holds licenses and sedation permits in the states of Ohio and Florida. Dr. Iacobelli is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the Midwest Implant Institute, and the International College of Dentists. He is the co-founder of Advanced Implant Mentoring. Dr. Iacobelli attains balance in his life by trying to be the best husband and father he can be to his wife Linda & three sons, Tony, Vince, and Matthew.

Thomas E. Bilski, DDS – Thomas Bilski graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry Class of 1988 and maintains a private practice in Independence, Ohio. Dr Bilski completed his Fellowship in dental Implantology at the Midwest Implant Institute in 2010.  He was inducted into the International Association of Health Care Professionals in December 2015 and was awarded multiple Smile Gallery Awards for smile designs by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2006 and 2007. Dr Bilski is extensively published in esthetic and implant dentistry books and journals and is co-director of the Midwest Implant Institute.

Dr. VJ Parashar, BOS, DDS, MDSc. Professor/Oral Radiologist – Dr. Parashar, a Diplomate of American Board of Oral & Maxillo­facial Radiology received DDS from University of Detroit Mercy, MDSc and Certification in Oral &Maxillofacial Radiology from University of Con­necticut in 2005. He is serving as Professor with Tenure at the Midwestern University in Arizona. He received Howard R. Raper Award sponsored by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radi­ology and the Indiana University in 2006 and William H. Rollins Award for Research in 2012 by the AAOMR. He has served as Chair of Oral Radiol­ogy section of American Dental Education Associa­tion. He is Chair of Pierre Fauchard Academy, Ari­zona section. He is on the editorial review board of various national and international journals. He has conducted and published basic science, translational and clinical research with ongoing emphasis on interdisciplinary imaging research.
