Arlington Heights, Ill., July 2, 2020 – Since being first introduced in 2005, more than 800 students across the country have been honored by the Academy of Osseointegration’s (AO) Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award, including 53 that were awarded this year despite challenges posed by COVID-19.
Nominated by their respective schools, the award provides students recognition among their peers and a head start on joining the professional field of implant dentistry. Each student receives a free year of Academy membership, a complimentary subscription to the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI), $500, and a certificate. Additionally, these selected students will receive a complimentary registration to the Academy’s 36thAnnual Meeting set for March 11 – 13, 2021, in Orlando, FL.
