As a global provider of digital imaging solutions and practice management software, Carestream Dental places an importance on hiring clinicians within the organization to better assist oral health professionals. For this reason, Carestream Dental is excited to announce that Lea Al Matny, D.D.S, M.S., recently joined the company as the clinical specialty director.
As Carestream Dental’s clinical specialty director, Dr. Al Matny will work closely with the sales organization to develop and implement effective scientific training on the company’s imaging solutions, such as cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). She will also serve as an educator, consultant and instructional expert for clinical development.
Dr. Al Matny is an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist from the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA) and holds a Master of Science degree from the same institution. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon.
“Having a licensed clinical professional on staff is a huge benefit to Carestream Dental’s sales organization,” said Brandon Darcangelo, CS Solutions and educational institutes sales director. “By understanding what doctors are looking for in clinical images, we can better comprehend how to serve their needs and recommend solutions that pertain to their practice.”
Dr. Al Matny joins Carestream Dental from the University of Texas Health San Antonio, where she served as a teaching assistant focused on developing the technical and diagnostic radiology skills of pre-doctoral dental students. She is also a member of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) and a co-chair of the association’s residents committee.
