“The health and safety of AAID members remain top of mind as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry continues to monitor the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As you have been reading and listening to the news, the information on the virus is changing frequently and organizations are having to pivot quickly as we learn more about its spread.
For the safety of everyone, the AAID has canceled the upcoming Southern District Meeting, which was to be held April 23 to 25, in Puerto Rico. For those registered, we will contact you directly with more detailed information.
Many people have expressed concerns and asked questions, and we thank you for being an active participant. In light of the fact people are traveling from diverse areas, we believe the risk of you becoming infected and then accidentally infecting your loved ones, friends, and patients is too high. Your health and safety for you and the ones you love are vitally important.
