Scannable healing abutments streamline clinical performance.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — October 7, 2024 — BioHorizons today launched SmartShapeTM Healers, its anatomically shaped healing abutments with a scannable design. This new product release advances BioHorizons’ commitment to streamline clinical workflows.
Key points:
- Innovative – Anatomically shaped healing abutments with scannable design
- Esthetic – Site-specific configurations to optimize gingival contouring
- Efficient – Streamlined components and reduced chairtime for restorative workflows
- Flexible – Supports traditional and digital impression-taking for a profile-matched custom final
“With the launch of SmartShapeTM Healers, we’re further enhancing restorative workflow efficiency for our dental implant customers,” said Steve Boggan, President and CEO of BioHorizons. “SmartShapeTM Healers build on the success of our recent Tapered Pro Conical release, which is our first deep conical connection. These two innovations together create an exceptionally streamlined clinical workflow that helps ensure the highest levels of predictability for patients.”
SmartShapeTM Healers are designed to simplify workflows and enhance outcomes. They feature six anatomical emergence profiles, a matte surface for easy scanning, occlusal markings for identification and orientation, and an allmetal design for seating verification. An easy four-step workflow allows for consistent tissue contouring from healer to the final restoration.
In addition, BioHorizons subsidiary, Vulcan Custom Dental, supports profile-matched custom final restorations for the healers.
