BioHorizons adds the IntraSpin™ system, the only FDA-cleared medical device for the production of PRF

BioHorizons is pleased to announce the addition of the IntraSpin system to our product portfolio. The IntraSpin system is the only FDA-cleared medical device for the chairside production of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF). The IntraSpin centrifuge, manufactured in Germany, is a high-quality medical device with a quality guarantee. The IntraSpin system comes with specifically designed blood tubes that have also been FDA-cleared for the creation and implantation of PRF membranes.

PRF is increasingly being used in grafting procedures to enhance the healing process. The IntraSpin simple, three-step protocol produces a thin, compressed layer of Leukocyte Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF™) that is strong, pliable and suitable for surgical manipulation and suturing. The L-PRF matrix can act as a carrier for particulate bone material to improve handling characteristics. The IntraSpin system doesn’t require anti-coagulants, additives, second spin or heating and has been documented in over 200 clinical studies.
