Neodent continues selling its DriveCM™ line of dental implants
Andover, MA, October 29, 2015 — The Administrative Law Judge at the International Trade Commission who has presided over the patent dispute brought by Nobel Biocare against Instradent and Neodent has determined that Nobel Biocare’s main patent relating to key features of its NobelActive® design is invalid. In his Initial Determination the judge largely followed Neodent’s arguments.
“The outcome of this case does not change anything for our customers and we are pleased that we can continue to offer both our DriveCM™ and DriveCM Acqua™ as attractively-priced high-quality alternatives to NobelActive®”, commented Bill Benjaminsen, General Manager of Instradent USA.
The validity of Nobel Biocare’s patent relating to grooves in the thread of the NobelActive implant is still under review, but these do not feature in any of Neodent’s current products sold in or outside the US.
